Pollution
Today our environment is in danger because of pollution. There is air, water and noise pollution. Air pollution is caused by smoke from vehicles and factories. Water pollution is caused when factories dump their chemical waste in water. People bathe cattle and wash clothes in water. Noise pollution is caused by loudspeakers, microphones, loud volumes of TV set and stereos, honking of vehicles, etc.  We can save our environment by preventing pollution.  We should remove all causes of air, water and noise pollution.  We should plant more trees.  The government should have special laws to save environment.  As good citizens. We should do all that we can to prevent all kinds of pollution.

Trees are our Best Friends

How can we imagine our life without trees? Like our human friends they are closely connected with our life and help in many ways. The trees stand in the sun, endure extreme heat and give us cool shade. Their lovely flowers and sweet fruits are also for us. They provide us wood to make beautiful furniture in our houses. They also provide coal, medicines, gum, honey, rubber and fire wood. The trees help us to bring rain. They keep the temperature down. The roots of the trees hold the soil together so the land does not lose its fertility. The trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen into the air. In this way the trees purify the air and help us to stop air pollution. The trees are the happy and the safe home for birds and animals. They can enjoy their life in their natural surroundings. The trees are the greatest boon of God for the mankind. We should not forget their obligation on us. Today we are cutting down lots and lots of trees for our selfish purposes therefore the balance of nature is disturbed. If we do not save the trees, our future will be in danger. We should grow more and more trees and protect them to save the whole planet.  If we save the trees, they will save us. We should work for this motto “You save the trees and the trees will save you”.

Pollution in Cities

Pollution is one of the major problems today. Development of industries has led to progress. But there are many ill-effects of this progress. There is pollution in air, on land and in water. Pollution in cities is mainly due to the increasing number of vehicles. Air is polluted because of the smoke, chemicals and gases. Besides, there is noise pollution because of honking of vehicles, microphones, loudspeakers and fireworks during festivals. Factories pollute water by dumping chemical waste in it. Polluted water spreads diseases and is harmful to agricultural products and soil. Dumping of garbage in the open also causes pollution. We must grow more trees and protect our forests. We must keep our houses and surroundings clean. We must stop polluting the sources of water.

Holi

Holi is one of the most colourful festivals of the Hindus. It is celebrated with great joy by the people all over India. Holi is the day of victory of good over evil. As the story goes, Prahlada worshipped Lord Vishnu. His father Hiranyakashipu did not like that. He ordered Prahlada to stop worshipping Lord Vishnu. But Prahlada did not obey. So Hiranyakashipu asked his sister Holika to burn Prahlada. But instead of Prahlada, it was Holika who got burned to ashes. Thus Holi is celebrated as the victory of Prahlada over Holika. On the day of Holi, a big fire is lighted in the evening. People worship the Holi fire with flowers and coconut. The day after Holi is celebrated as ‘Dhuleti’. It is a festival of colours. YOGA
Yoga was originated in india during ancient time by the yogis. Yoga word is originated from the sanskrit language and has two meanings, one is union and another one is discipline. Practicing yoga teaches us about the body and mind discipline by uniting or connecting body and mind. It is a spiritual practice used to meditate in the early morning to balance body and mind as well as remains close to the nature. It was practiced earlier by the people of religions like Hindu, Buddha and jain. It is amazing type of exercise which makes life better by controlling the body and mind. Yoga is a science of living healthy life forever. It is like a medicine which treats various diseases gradually by regularizing the functioning of body organs. Actually yoga is a practice of  controlled body part movements and control of breathe. It enhances the inner and outer body and mind strength by connecting both to the nature. It is not a physical practice only as it  makes a human able to get control over mental, emotional and spiritual thoughts. It can be practiced  by the people at any age during childhood, teenage, adult or old age. It needs only safe, slow and controlled movements of body with controlled breathing. In order to make worldwide people aware of the yoga and its benefits, an international level event called ‘International Day of Yoga’  or  ‘World Yoga Day’  has been declared to celebrate it annually.

*My Dream Robot* (_Jayesh Purohit_ દ્વારા)
I am deeply interested in robotics. I always wish to have a robot that helps me in my routine work. After studying the lesson ‘The human robot’ in my textbook, I could clearly make an idea about my dream robot.

I want a robot that looks like any other human being. He must have two hands, two eyes, two legs and all other characteristics that a man has. He must have some in build principles like he must obey my orders and not harm to others and self. He should follow all my instructions and behave as I tell.

He must be able to do all household works like cleaning, arranging, cooking, shopping, gardening etc. He can help me in my study. He can read out stories for me. He can protect me from danger. I wish to have a robot that can be my best friend and partner.

*Save Environment* (_Jayesh Purohit_ દ્વારા)
We all know what the environment is. It means all the natural surroundings such as land, air, water, plants, animals, sunlight, forests, etc. We all need to have a healthy environment to have a healthy and happy life. However, now a day, the environment is being polluted in many ways by some technologies. That pollution disturbs the life of humans and all other living beings on the earth. If we don’t take any steps for it, the existence of life will be in danger on the earth.

We are totally dependent on natural resources for food, air, water and shelter. We use it to a large extent. This also causes the environmental damage and creates lack of minerals, deforestation, acid rain, etc.

We should save environment in order to survive on the earth. We should consume the resources in a proper way. Wastage of resources should be stopped. Pollution of air, water, land should be stopped by us. We should not do any such activity that causes the environmental pollution.

*My Mother* (_Jayesh Purohit_ દ્વારા)
The most important person in my life is my mother. She is very hardworking and caring as well. She takes care of each and every family of our family. She can be called the manager of my family. She gets up early and prepares food for us. My day starts with my mother.

Early in the morning she gets me up from the bed. She makes me ready for the school and cooks tasty food for us. My mother also helps me in my study. She is the first teacher of my life. She takes every care for us, goes shopping, prays for us and sacrifices a lot for us. She is the busiest at our home.

The word mother is full of emotion and love. Whenever any of our family members falls sick, my mother spends a sleepless night and sits beside him and takes care of him for the whole night. She never tires of her responsibilities.

I love my mother a lot.

BEST OF LUCK
